Common Marquee Event Mistakes!
There are a few things to consider in your early stages of booking to make your event run smoothly on the day! Here are some common mistakes people can make when planning any event or hiring a marquee. Thank me later.
Booking too late! (Don’t be THAT person)
Forgetting power requirements (Oops - how is the DJ going to play?)
Not considering access - site access or guest access. (Pro tip - walk through your space and envisage the event flow)
Forgetting toilet hire or access - an obvious one here. Don’t get caught short.
Skipping the appropriate flooring for the season/setting.
Poor lighting - plan for the duration of the event day, plus the right lighting can positively enhance your day.
No contingency for weather (good news, marquees are rainproof!)
Not hiring an event/wedding coordinator (so you’ve planned the whole day with precision, but who will problem-solve and be the glue on the day?)
Not hiring experienced or trustworthy suppliers - experience prevents expensive mistakes
